I am Pizza

If you are what you eat, then I am Pizza. I honestly don't think I will ever get tired of pizza. I love all kinds: feta with spinach and mushrooms, pepperoni, red sauce, onions, you name, I'll love it.

You know, I've been very observant over the past few months about certain quirks people have. For example:
If a woman tells you your shoes look comfortable, it is NOT a compliment! Who buys shoes for comfort? Not any girl that is observing other women's shoes. She is telling you this to secretly put you down.

Jumping on the Bandwagon

Okay, so its 2010, the most interesting of all decades. The past ten years have been extraordinary to say the least. You can throw on a pair of rainbow-colored high top nikes, a Run DMC shirt, pearl earrings, a Louie Vuitton weekender bag, and a vintage skirt and you would fit right in. The 10's have marked an era of anything goes. Fashion has combined everything from the classic Audrey Hepburn look of leggings and ballet flats with an 80's hip hop twist to babydoll dresses and gladiator sandals. Expression has become not a luxury, but a must. A generation of baby boomers has set the way for my generation to pave new ground. Just look at what user-generated websites have done for the way things work in the world. McCain and Obama would have had no hope reaching out to my generation if it weren't for their facebook fan pages, youtube ads, and myspace profiles. To be known and respected, we cannot get away with solely having charisma when we are face to face with others; our online presence usually says more about us than our mannerisms in everyday, real-life, human interactions. People get fired for pictures posted on their facebook page; I find out more about my closest friends through their tweets than I do in live conversations. I recently asked a close friend (through a text of course) how things were going in her life and she said "Don't you ever read my blog!?" Well blog world, here I am. Most people can write endless tweets and status updates and blog entries, but have trouble communicating in real life. Are we turning into machines? Is this a predecessor for all things communication? No matter what happens to a person, you can always tell by their online mood. Emoticons are inserted in sentences to avoid confusion. A smiley face will turn that questionable sentence into an immediate LOL. Speaking of lol, is that like a verb and a noun now? Someone texted me the other day and said: "I just LOL'ed." What!? Don't get me wrong, here. I cannot live without my facebook and twitter. And I think I'll really enjoy this blogging thing. Because, after all, who has time to actually talk these days? I know I don't. Even when I'm talking I don't have time to talk. If I'm on the phone I am multitasking. I actually put all my phone calls that I need to return on hold until I get in the car. Becasue when I'm driving, at least there's no accessibilty to anything that I need to be doing. You can't exactly fold clothes while pulling a u-turn down seasame street. Maybe I had rather blog about my happenings than talk about them; or then again, maybe I can have the best of both worlds. Blogging can be just an accessory to my life story. Kind of like Pearls. You don't have to wear them, but they sure make you feel complete.
